Anyone have thoughts on these two.

Currently have the ‘cron but not overly happy with performance on my M10-P. The veiling is quite obvious at times & thinking I might switch out to a Summilux.

Should I see much difference in the performance of one against the other at any given aperture?

Veiling flare is present with the Summilux-M 50mm ASPH, too. I have not done a side-by-side torture test, in flare-inducing conditions, with my Summilux and Summicron v.5 lenses, but can assert that the Summilux does flare.

I have tested my newly-acquired Cosina Voigtlander 50mm APO Lanthar, and Summilux-M 50mm ASPH, side-by-side, in flare-producing conditions. The APO Lanthar won that one, as I anticipated. The new APO Lanthar does not threaten to kick any of my Leica lenses from the nest. Flare can be used creatively. The APO Lanthar is simply a tool, to use when flare must not be allowed to happen. My test images are not in ready-to-share condition, but here is a reasonably-brief you-tube presentation, that shows the CV 50mm APO Lanthar competing against the Summilux-M 50mm ASPH and the APO Summicron 50mm ASPH, with flare susceptibility being one of the tests:
