two quick questions about the 35mm steel rim

Hi everyone, 

I've just picked up a 35mm steel rim after hearing all the amazing things about it. Just have two quick questions for the people that have been using it for awhile. 

Firstly, I've noticed that when I use the lens hood, I cant put the cover on, has anyone found an alternate solution to this? Any after market cap that can go over the hood?

Secondly, I don't think mine comes with the new hood since the shop said its new old stock that arrived the shop since earlier this year. So how should go about getting the new hood?

Hello Ktsa, regarding your second question. I sent an email to customer.care@leica-camera.com asking for the new updated hood while also providing my lens serial number for reference & of course my shipping address. I received the updated hood around 2 months later. Hope this helps.
