rochus Posted November 3, 2023 Share #1 Posted November 3, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) To the 28mm Elmarit ASPH V2 owners… my copy has a kind of looser aperture ring, compared to all my other vintage and modern M lenses. And if turned it makes some noise as if not properly lubricated, not as silky as other M lenses at all. It’s perfectly useable, just the haptic is not supporting a perfect Leica M lens feeling. Bought the lens new, about two years ago and -as far as I can remember- did it show this behavior from the beginning. Is this normal for this lens or just a problem of my copy? Other than that, a fantastic lens. thanks a lot, rochus

It doesn’t seem to cause any issues for me though. Also, my focus does seem to have different levels of tension at different focus distances, and it depends on how warm or cold out it is. Mine probably could use a CLA, but it really doesn’t bother me
