i am curious about this batch of the summilux 35/1.4 -- the 216xxxx batch.

is this the best batch?

also, might anyone have one for sale?

Hard to quantify “best’ but its mostly all about condition, and it’s certainly on the more expensive side of 35mm pre-ash lenses . The 216* is also the only one housed in the CAD v2 body with a brass infinity lock, and with the same glass as the ‘steel rim’. I have a 216**** M3 (goggled) version. I love it, but I have never seen any references to this particular serial number range being special. What are your sources?

Curios that they apparently declare it is the last of the batch (in the description) ... and obliterate the s/n in the pic... 🙄 (should it be really the very last V1... certainly a plus for collectors)
