Out of focus at infinity when seen through Live View on 35mm Summilux f/1.4

Hello, 

I have three lenses for my Leica MP240: 35 Summilux 1.4, 50 Summilux 1.4, and Tri-Elmar-M 16-18-21mm f/4. 

Only the 35mm lens is out of focus when the focus dial is turned to infinity. I wondered if there is a service to calibrate the lens. The rangefinder has been calibrated and is perfectly aligned when lenses are at infinity. The focus is also spot on at infinity for the 50mm and the tri_elmar. I do believe the problem is with the 35mm lens itself. Has anyone encountered such an issue before?

Welcome to this forum.

This is a well know issue. It can be solved by an CLA (clean lubricate adjust) service. Of course you can send the lens in to Leica Customer Service, but currently there is a long waiting list. If you tell us region where you live, we can advise third party professionals that can do this for you.

Check if the screws are tight on the mount. Mine were loose and my infinity shots were out of focus. After tightening it was good again.

I got the same on the 35 Lux FLE some time ago. I sent it into Leica service in NJ, it took them a week and a half to calibrate it and send it back free of charge, under warranty.

All good since then.
