the Zf didn't do much, it was the photographer and model.  The combo of this model and this photographer could get excellent images with an iphone!

I did not want to discredit the photographer, nor the model. But IMO nobody can get this result with an iPhone. A good photographer can get close (at first glance) with an iPhone, but it would make no sense carrying heavy gear if he could do this with it. I 'only' have an iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro has lots of improvements now compared to that, but it is not the same as a good FF camera, let alone a MF body.

Oh I didn't think you were discrediting the photographer/model as much as giving too much credit to the camera. Too many times I have heard people refer to cameras in this way: "Oh, I bet that camera takes really good pictures..." Wrong way to think.

Sometimes an amazing picture is dumb luck. But usually it's  Photog first - Subject Second - Equipment third.

You should check this book out. If your not familiar with David Hume Kennerly, he's a seasoned pro and published a book shot only with his iPhone.

Gorgeous portrait. This combination is working great.

Thanks a lot Lelmer! I also like this combo, especially the AF

Ah, Marc, you just nailed it with this portrait. I love the light, the background, the model, the pose. Superb. I got in a good mood just from looking at it.

Glad you like it Brent!!

Great! If the Zfc can do this, it is another incentive for me to have a look at the Zf.

Thanks a lot! And do not worry, for sure I do not feel discredited at all. I also love the new Zf and for sure I also was thinking about an „upgrade“. But at the moment I will keep the Zfc.

Lieber Benqui,
