I suspect the smallest is my Sony A7s1. No problem with M lenses, even wides, as it has a Kolari mod sensor. My Kolari mod A7r2 is a bit bigger but not by much. A7r2 mod + Super-Angulon 21/3.4 below:

if you have leica glass already, why not stay in the leica ecosystem and move into the L mount, say a panasonic S5 IIX and see what the video specs are like from the SL3

also from memory, i think R glass is quite popular with the whole cine crowd

The R lenses will better withstand the torque of the remote controled follow focus units used on cine modded cameras . The M lenses are more fragile and will eventually suffer mechanically.
