mirekti Posted September 16, 2023 Share #1 Â Posted September 16, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) There are three newcomers to my M lens family: G28 Biogon, G45 Planar and G90 Sonnar. Has anyone 6 bit coded these lenses? I wondered what would be the best profiles for these. My initial thoughts were: 28mm as Elmarit 28 - 011100 45mm as Summicron 50 - 100001 90mm as Tele-Elmarit 90 - 000100 Any thoughts, comments, please? Did you do conversion yourself,  I am curious is it possible to have the lenses focus closer than 0.7 m?

I was told 90mm couldn't be adjusted and it would be a hit or a miss. The only guarantee was it focuses "correctly" on his (seller's) M camera. When I received it, mine was front focusing, but I took it apart and luckily removing a single shim fixed it for me. Not sure about closer than 0.7m. The lenses certainly (at least 28 and 45) can focus closer in their original form. I am happy it stops at 0.7 so I can use the RF precisely, but for those would would want to use them with SL (or any other mirrorless) could benefit from closer focus.

Would love to add the 28 and 45, but I can't find any conversion kit anymore. Sad face. Funleader has somehow disappeared but there are conversion sets from “rework-lens” on ebay.
