Jack MacDonough Posted November 15, 2007 Share #65 Â Posted November 15, 2007 The set change is a big plus. Fine on other changes too. M8 owner since Nov 87. Won't buy my second M8 until these changes are made.

Manicouagan1 Posted November 15, 2007 Share #67 Â Posted November 15, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I change ISO and EV a lot, white balance I tend to leave on daylight and then adjust color in Aperture. Â The user interface as is now is quite workable. I recommend making no change to the user interface that increases the possiblity of inadvertent changes in these settings. Â Current M8 owner with 24, 35, 50 and 90 mm lenses.
johnbuckley Posted November 15, 2007 Share #68 Â Posted November 15, 2007 Yes to all three. Owner of an M8 since November 7, 2006. Second one purchased April 2007.
DaCh Posted November 15, 2007 Share #69 Â Posted November 15, 2007 I agree whole heartedly with your frustration at the unnecessary restrictions of the M8. Your solution is very well considered, I had thought ISO setting needed a dial but I think your options would work very well. WB balance is the least important of the three. M8 user for the last year, about 10000 exposures so far. Thanks David

orjanf Posted November 15, 2007 Share #75  Posted November 15, 2007 Sounds fine - dont really care about WB - current owner  I would like to see the protect button as a custom function button.  Could work like this: Open menu - pick any item - press protect. After this pressing protect would open the menu at that item

sean_reid Posted November 15, 2007 Author Share #78 Â Posted November 15, 2007 BTW, this is not intended as any kind of petition. What I'm trying to do is to get a sense of how much M8 owners might want this feature (based on the sample of this forum)? That's info. I'll share with Leica as I discuss this further. The fact that we're staying right on topic will make it easier for them to get a feel for the response, interest, etc. Â Cheers, Â Sean
