sean_reid Posted November 15, 2007 Author Share #41 Posted November 15, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Great, please keep chiming in and *thanks* for staying right on topic. EV and ISO are most important to me as well but WB can be important to JPEG shooters, especially those wiring pictures in to papers and magazines (straight from the camera). As Andy said, we could do this as a poll but so far it looks like we're OK like this.

adan Posted November 15, 2007 Share #45 Posted November 15, 2007 A. Yes to the changes as described (left/right button with LCD off). M8(s) owner since introduction. B. Personally, I would like the selection confirmed by EITHER touching the shutter button or by a second press on the LEFT/RIGHT/PROTECT button that started the process. I.E. EV change and confirmation via left/down/down/left or a similar combination. Saves shuffling fingers from control dial to shutter button in some situations C. If I HAD to pick only one, fast EV compensation would be most important - but it sounds like your proposal packages all 3 anyway.

JimP Posted November 15, 2007 Share #49 Posted November 15, 2007 I like option III the best. However also allowing the reassignment of the protect key to any other function in the menu would be great.

SJP Posted November 15, 2007 Share #60 Posted November 15, 2007 I. Yes II. Yes, the protect function is superfluous - or the protect button should be only button on the camera that is programmed not to work (to amuse the trolls) III. Yes I am a very happy owner of an M8 Stephen
