mtwo Posted November 15, 2007 Share #82 Â Posted November 15, 2007 You can add me to the list too. I have had my M8 since mid summer. ISO and EV for sure. WB sucks anyway but a button push or wheel and button would be welcome. There are a couple of other changes I would like to see also, card format should be a two button push or wheel and button. ChrisC Posted November 15, 2007 Share #83 Â Posted November 15, 2007 Yes - But only as a selectable/deselectable option and not a permanent change. Â M8 owner. Â .................... Chris

RG Beaulieu Posted November 15, 2007 Share #85 Â Posted November 15, 2007 I agree with the recommended changes, Â M8 owner since mid-07. Â Thanks, Â Dick b.
erl Posted November 16, 2007 Share #86 Â Posted November 16, 2007 I support the proposed concepts. Â Most important would be EV compensation for faster changes. Next in importance would be ISO quick change. Least important is WB. Â M8 owner since Dec 2006 Second M8 since October 2007. Both supported by eight lenses. 99% of my Pro work uses this gear. Speed is frequently vital in my work, so these changes, or similar would be great.
redwine Posted November 16, 2007 Share #87 Â Posted November 16, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm using the M8 with 3 lenses since 6 months. Â I don't need a "protect" button, "delete" could be a menu function for my purposes. Â Yes, I would like to have an easier change of ISO and EV, WB is not important. Â And, I would like to see the f-stop value in my exif data.

DavidERuck Posted November 16, 2007 Share #89 Â Posted November 16, 2007 Agree wholeheadedly as to the suggested means for quick and straightforward access to changing ISO and EV. I daresay WB quick change is not as important as the first two. The menu method is a nuisance. M8 owner since January 2007. Not incidentally, I've never used the "protect" feature on any digital camera. Thank you, Sean, for all your good work on our behalf. Scott Root Posted November 16, 2007 Share #92 Â Posted November 16, 2007 Yes, I would like to see these advances made to the M8 controls and hoped for it as soon as I had read Sean's article on his website in which he proposed these changes. I have owned an M8 since January and have the following four lenses: 28 summicron asph, 35 summilux asph, 35 summicron asph, 50 summicron. thai.charlie Posted November 16, 2007 Share #93 Â Posted November 16, 2007 These changes are a no brainer. They put buttons and a wheel on the back of the camera. Leica, what are you waiting for? fordfanjpn Posted November 16, 2007 Share #94 Â Posted November 16, 2007 I am a current M8 owner, and while I am less concerned with WB setting, I completely agree with and support all of your proposed enhancements. Â Bill

BillBrittain Posted November 16, 2007 Share #97 Â Posted November 16, 2007 I agree to these changes. They would make the camera much more usable. Â I own 2 M8s. One since 01/07 and one since 04/07.
Philinflash Posted November 16, 2007 Share #98 Â Posted November 16, 2007 M8 owner since 3/07. Â All three suggestions would be improvements. Â ... but WB can be important to JPEG shooters, especially those wiring pictures in to papers and magazines ... Â If the FW were a little smarter, it could recognize that if DNG-only is selected WB would not have the same priority.
Cindy Flood Posted November 16, 2007 Share #99 Â Posted November 16, 2007 M8 owner since November, 2006 Â I agree with Sean's ideas. Most important to me is ISO and I would like the option of putting it on the protect button.
GarethC Posted November 16, 2007 Share #100 Â Posted November 16, 2007 yes to all three, M8 owner since April 2008, in order of priority ISO followed by EV, WB not so important, didn't even know this camera shot jpg's
