pegelli Posted July 18, 2023 Share #1 Posted July 18, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a M-Telyt 200/4 which came together with an OUBIO/16466M M39 to M-mount connection so it can be mounted on the Visoflex II or III mirrorbox. However to mount it on a digital body without the Visoflex inbetween it needs a ~40 mm extension tube to cover the length without using the mirrorbox. I've currently solved this by placing a ~40 mm M39 extension tube inbetween the Telyt and the OUBIO but the tube inner diameter is probably a little to small so I get small black vignetting corners. Is there a standard ~40 mm M-mount extension tube which you can put inbetween the OUBIO and the M-mount body to overcome this problem? Or would the only solution be to buy an old Visoflex mirrorbox and remove the mirror so it only functions as an extension tube. This would be quite big so I hope to find a more elegant solution and be able to use the lens without getting small black corners on my photos. Advertisement Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Hi pegelli, Take a look here 40 mm M-mount extension tube for Telyt 200/4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Maarten Posted July 18, 2023 Share #2 Posted July 18, 2023 For using my Telyt without Visoflex mirror box I use this ring. It replaces the old Visoflex I and therefore there is no OUBIO ring needed either. Welcome, dear visitor! Alberti Posted July 18, 2023 Share #3 Posted July 18, 2023 I have similar. Mine is called TXBOO by the way, which has a bayonet on the camera side. The tube is a Visoflex II/III replacement. It works like Maarten shows. And as extra accessory mine has a MOOSP 15mm LTM extension ring - for under 3 meters. The OUBIO 10mm is similar for extension, but goes elsewhere - between visoflex and body. I'm sure Maartens lens head is like mine - terminating in a M39. You can use a New Visoflex (like Maarten has. . ) or you can use a SFTOO visual finder (which I think is more Vintage Fun. Alas, the SFTOO does not fit some modern bodies, at least now I can't push it home on the MM1 or M10 bodies. As you can see, I can only squeeze it a few mm's. Welcome, dear visitor! spydrxx Posted July 18, 2023 Share #4 Posted July 18, 2023 I found a Viso replacement tube on the big auction site...but it is for the Sony A7rii, although I suspect if you search hard enough you will find one in a Leica M mount.
dpitt Posted July 18, 2023 Share #5 Posted July 18, 2023 An other way to use Visoflex lenses is to use an M to R adapter (to use R lenses on M) Then stack one of these Visoflex to R adaptershttps://wiki.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/File:14167.jpghttps://wiki.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/File:14127.jpg After that I think you have a vignet free solution to use any Visoflex lens as if it is mounted on a visoflex II or III (with bayonet)
pegelli Posted July 19, 2023 Author Share #6 Posted July 19, 2023 (edited) Thanks for all the input and help gentlemen, I'll keep an eye on the large auction sites to see if I can find a genuine TXBOO / 14076P or equivalent (they seem to come in several different versions with different tripod connections) In the meantime I also saw this set: https://www.kamera-express.be/novoflex-adapter-visoflex-ii-iii-naar-leica-m-extension-tube-set, does anybody have experience with that, even though Novoflex is a reputable company I am not sure that 4 stacked 10 mm extension tubes coupled with an OUBIO (which is an extension tube as well) is stable enough to support such a heavy lens head. altus Posted October 5, 2023 Share #7 Posted October 5, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) There is a leitz extension shoe made for the M5 that elevates the viewfinder shoe. (very rare!) There are three types of extension tubes for the Telyt TZOON Screwthread collar (62.5 mm) 200 mm or 400 mm Telyt (low viewfinder shoe) TZFOO - 14023 Screwthread collar (62.5 mm) with with special higher viewfinder shoe TXBOO - 14024 Bayonet collar (63.5 mm) 200 mm or 400 mm Telyt on Leica M cameras All quite rare. I use the first type TZOON with screw/bayonet ring and the leitz extension shoe. But the viewfinder is of little use on digital cameras. Welcome, dear visitor!
