Christoph has asked me to assist with the setting up of the Voting Thread, so here it is.

Please state the equipment used in your image creation. The only obligatory item is that it must include a Leica LTM body.

I will start with my post.

"I did all I could to do what was best for Josie" Klara and the Sun, Kazuo Ishiguro

The photo is supposed to illustrate the end of the book. Throughout the book, Klara (an "Artificial Friend") and Josie develop a very strong friendship. However, I could not find anything remotely looking like an Artificial Friend... So Peppa Pig. Since I was taking liberty with the scene, I also asked my daughter to turn her back as if she were leaving. Trying to recreate the mood... I do not know if one can be best friend with a book but I thoroughly enjoyed it and Klara is Josie's best friend.

I first met M3 and her friends when they arrived from the Hove Camera Company in 1974 (are cameras female like boats or male because they are metal and mechanical?).

We took many good photographs over the next six or seven years before she moved in with my friend. She stayed with him for more than 40 years. But sadly he died a couple of years ago and she returned to me.

This portrait of M3 and friends was taken a few days ago with a 1934 Bright Chrome Leica 111 + Visoflex 1 + 135mm Hektor lens head in short focussing mount, approx 5 seconds at f22. Ilford Pan F in Perceptol 1+3. Copy of a darkroom print.

My contribution is perhaps less animalistic, yet ambiguous to match the topic…😄😄

Hendrik celebrating the 1-year anniversary of his craft beer bar "Get Some" (www.getsome.sg) near West Coast Market in Singapore. I can't claim we are "best friends", but Hendrik is certainly a very welcoming, jovial and friendly fellow,  and his bar is a great success.

Love the shoot. It's not really a friend for me, I know the musician too little and he doesn't know me, but I've heard him several times and like his playing very much. Here is my picture of him – from an unusual angle. Latin-Jazz Concert captured with Leica IIIf, Elmar 3,5 50mm redscale, AGFA APX100 dev. Wehner Entwickler. Scan from Negative.
