Is my 35mm Summaron (2.8) a dud?

Thanks folks who spent time to reply and provide valuable insights to this lens. I'll be sending it for CLA at the earliest opportunity. The main reason for the purchase was the portability, the 35mm for almost all subjects, and of course its looks (who could deny that?). Meanwhile here's an image of that lens coupled with my Leica ME before I send it for CLA. Thanks again every one for your inputs.

Your photos look vibrant. Great composition! To confirm, these were taken with M11?

Confirmed.  However, this little jewel of a lens also provided very pleasing results on M10M, M240 & M7  

Hope yours is returned swiftly from its CLA so that you can then enjoy its capabilities in full!

Way better than the ones made from ultra sharp modern lenses.

Not sure you should send the lens for a CLA.
