Leica Q3 images - Post them here

I have had the M11 for three months now and have been using it intensively. I have never seen moire in a shot from the M11, not even in architectural shots with very fine structures.  I guess this is the first sensor in a Leica that is completely free from moire. Or is it just an improved performance of the actual Lightroom version that prevents moire more efficiently? I wonder if this is the case with the Q3, too.

One of the Q3 reviewers (believe it’s Kai) stated that reducing resolution to 36Mp you gain 15 stops of dynamic range (instead of the 14 at 60Mp). Can someone please confirm this?

That is wrong to my understanding. You do better to stay at 60MPix and ev delete your pictures if not needed. The reduction of the MPix should only be used for some special applications (your SD card gets full or you want quickly transfer images or somthing like that)

I never saw moire with the Q3. No REAL moire anyway. I have posted above that I think that the moire that @Daniel C.1975 sees has to do with the screen. Whenever I change the size of an image on the screen then that moire has gone. So its not moire that is part of the DNG.

My view anyway.

The low light capabilities are nicht and day.
i will post some of the night footage I did.
And pls keep in mind that when the q2 came out they worked on the firmware to reach the status quo.
and I am guessing but the new q3 will get much better in one year of algorithms work too.

Night and day … not nicht and day ….
I better check my writing … 😝

With the Q3 you can take images of people taking images with phones 📱

that think that the phones take much better images.

How well does the Q2 grip fit? Battery and memory card just as accessible?

If the Q3 sensor has a similar to the M11 (which is very likely) then yes you will indeed benefit from the smaller MP modes with better dynamic range, ISO performance and - well - smaller file size.

And a crop. iAF on animals works just as good as it does on humans. Straight out of LR mobile, Adobe Color Profil, no PP

iso 6400, 1/50, f/1.7
