M lens on Canon R5

Hello there,

As any one here tryed to shot with M lenses on a Canon R5?

My son borrowed my Nocti 50 for a travel to Japan and says the body doesn't trigger. The adaptator is the Novoflex.

The body is fully operative with Canon lenses.

Happens with the SL2-S as well, if the adapter isn’t locked properly.

Don't have an R5, but on many camera bodies which have autofocus capabilities, you have to use a setting "no lens attached" as there is no electrical connectivity between the M lens and camera body.

"shoot without lens" should be ON

i use a lot of M and R lenses on my EOS-RP...great results
