Orignial Hood for Voigtlander Color Skopar 50 2.5 LTM

First off, I owned this lens in silver but it was sold in 2017 and have always regretted it. Last month, I packed a box for KEH with nothing particular in mind so I started browsing. Looked a a lot of M mount lenses but it was when I went to the LTM they had a black 50 2.5 Color Skopar LTM and the price was less than many of the ones for sale on the auction site. For my trade in allowance, I got the lens, a Voigtlander LTM to M mount adapter, a B+W 010 filter and a rear M mount lens cap. While waiting for arrival, I ordered a LH-2 screw on hood from Cameraquest. The lens arrived in pristine condition but like many of them, was missing the original screw on lens hood. Like the latest Summicron and Elmarit lenses the Color Skopar has external threads at the front of the lens which is covered by either a protective ring or an accessory hood. I contacted Cameraquest to see if any were available but was told they had been out of stock for quite a wile and there wouldn't be any new ones. Best guess is many of these hood were removed and replaced with the larger LH-2 hood and then left in a drawer or box when the lens was sold. It is more of something that would be nice to have but not a necessity. I'll keep looking around and maybe I'll find one.

Good lens indeed. Lens hoods for Skopar 21/4 fit well on it. Seems to be available here:

Because I am a really nice guy and any girl would be lucky to have me (that’s what me mum tells me), I checked the OEM tiny hoods on my Snapshot Skopar 25, regular 25 f4, and Cv 21 f4.  And they all fit on the 50 2.5.

There is one caveat.  As those lenses are wider, the hoods are slightly wider so unlike w the OEM 50 2.5 hood, the lens cap will not fit over those hoods.

Not yet. I haven't tried the link mostly because my French is limited. I did call Cameraquest, who is one of the main distributors for Voigtlander in the U.S. and the owner told me they have been out of stock for several years. I like the LH-2 hood and it doesn't block much of the finder but I'll keep looking.
