Oh dear! I like to welcome newcomers. What is not clear is it the battery at fault, or more likely the charger. Check your electricity supply. Move the charger to a known good power socket. Clean the contacts of battery and charger carefully. Speak to your Leica dealer and take all components to him for checking.

Chargers do fail, often most inconveniently. I suspect this is the answer in your case. What camera are you referencing?
