Aussierob78 Posted May 1, 2023 Share #1 Posted May 1, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Unless there’s a weird setting I’ve missed somewhere, I’m guessing the unit I’ve received has a fault. When taking photos of a high contrast image, I get weird dots around the image. Anyone else seen this before? Welcome, dear visitor! Aussierob78 Posted May 2, 2023 Author Share #3 Posted May 2, 2023 Yeah it changes with each image. You can see it on the back of the camera when playing back the images. Weirdly, doesn’t show up in live view though, only after the image has been taken. Firmware is up to date, camera has been reset to defaults. Have tried different SD cards to rule that out too

convexferret Posted May 2, 2023 Share #5 Posted May 2, 2023 Do try resetting the camera. When I received mine it was clipping the blacks at a dark grey and nothing recorded darker than that. A reset get rid of that and it's been flawless for the 2.5 years since.
Aussierob78 Posted May 3, 2023 Author Share #6 Posted May 3, 2023 I sent it back to Leica, they have confirmed it’s a DOA and are replacing the camera for me. Fantastic customer service.
Stephen.s1 Posted May 3, 2023 Share #7 Posted May 3, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'd ask Leica if they'd give you a M11 M... Rather than replacing the defective M 10... (good luck)
ramarren Posted May 9, 2023 Share #8 Posted May 9, 2023 I dunno. So far, I'm loving the M10-M and can't see that I need an upgrade to the M11-M. G
