LeicaR10 Posted March 23, 2023 Share #3 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) Mark Turner, I had the same issue a while back. I suggest you go back to the dealer and ask them to help you register the camera with Leica. If they can't do it, they need to contact Leica and ask why the camera cannot be registered. Or...If the camera is a "grey market" buy, that might be an issue too. Either case, the dealer should make this right for you. Personally, if the camera cannot be registered due to its grey market status, I would send it back and ask for a refund. r/ Mark Edited March 23, 2023 by LeicaR10
mark turner Posted March 23, 2023 Author Share #4 Posted March 23, 2023 I dont believe its grey market as i had to get a voucher number directly from Leica . Its the sl2s kit with the 50mm summicron. I have emailed leica directly and see what they have to say. THX.
lukeadair Posted March 23, 2023 Share #5 Posted March 23, 2023 I had the same problem with my SL2-S Reporter. No problem with my original SL2, however. Please post Leica's reply when and if you get one.
erudolph Posted March 23, 2023 Share #6 Posted March 23, 2023 Had the same problem. I'm sorry that it's been a while so I can't remember exactly how long everything took, but I emailed Leica with my serial number and explained the problem. Within a reasonable time I was able to register my camera.
