Size reference for my 35mm lenses - ok the Lomo is 32mm, but you get the idea.

I assume it brings up 35mm framelines, not 28?

Nice colors! I want to say that I’ve actually stayed in the house you posted years ago as a vacation rental. My pals and I through are cents and sense together and booked it for two nights. Got absolutely blitz and threw a rager. I lost my AE-1 in the sand around 3am. Wish I still had the roll that was in there. Said rental is in NB.

Another reminder of the size difference for those upset about its optical qualities.

Elmar 35mm / 50mm f3.5 / f2.8 (collapsed) / Summaron 28mm are as small, and probably better performers, so that could be an option as well for those who really want the smallest kit possible.

Anyway, that's not the point.  I mean, how small do you need a lens to be?  The Leica lenses technically will be optically superior, but the reason to get the Lomo is for its optical flaws - because you want that vignetting and saturation.

Also with the Lomo lens, it is so small you have to be really careful not to have your fingers in the image.

Yeah there’s lenses for every taste : ) I am adding here the shoots of the elmar 50mm f2.8 and elmar 35mm f3.5 so that people who never used them can see how they look in terms of size.

I’m finding the Elmar 35 much more interesting as that is the shooting size.  The 50 you need to extend to use, and then it is almost the same length as a Summicron 50, but one stop slower.  And with too short a focus throw for my liking.

But that Elmar 35?  Interesting…

I owned a 35 3.5 Summaron LTM for a few years. It had belonged to the used camera salesperson at a local shop. What a great little lens! Not tack sharp but great rendering and when used with color film, the colors really bloom. I managed to find a FOOKH hood, before they became ridiculously expensive, and a handful of A36 filters. Used it with an adapter on a M6 TTL. At the same time I also had a Chiyoko Super Rokkor 45 2.8 in LTM. The FOOKH hood fit and the knob to tighten it also worked as a handle allowing me to change the aperture.

Nice!  Of course they now are expensive, and I don’t see a decent condition one for sale domestically.
