AP have been looking back at early digital cameras and this week turn their attention to Digilux 1,2 & 3 (plus Panasonic equivalents).  Never having had the pleasure of owning one, the article made for interesting reading.

David, thanks - I have actually been following that thread   I just thought that AP's article might be of interest to anyone browsing this section of the forum.

Nice enough article, but it deals mostly with the analog-like controls, just mentioning at one point that the Leica lens is superb. But what makes the camera magic is the IQ beyond simply superb quality. Is this the only ASPH lens that produces very much of the "Leica light" or "Leica glow"? Mandel lenses are all pre-ASPH. Hmm.

One of the main reasons I bought a Digilux 2, have an M8 and a Nikon Df.
