Well the new one is nicer IMHO simply due to the 2 mm shorter length ...

The body of the new version of the Summilux-M 35 mm Asph has exactly the same length as the previous version. Just the built-in hood, when extended, is 2 mm shorter than the previous screw-on hood (wider, too, and hence, less effective).

Lol, you will love it, exceptional piece of glass

PS.  Like you I picked up a 50mm Summilux black chrome on Tuesday, and the FLE V2 yesterday. 28 Summilux last month and now I am hunting down a 24 Summilux

Because you'll be now facing the cruel dilemma...which one to take?...35 or 50 😄

Great photos (and excellent lens choice). Enjoy

If you love the 35lux, dont try the 28lux… you will want 😂😂😂

but im settled with 35 lux fle v2 and 28 summaron for its size

You are right about that, under the right conditions the 28 Lux is addictive, But I must say there are days where I do miss the the Elmarit 28 Asph.

If they ever decide to redo the 28 Lux and make it close focus like the 35. That would be the ultimate wide angle lens ever.

Unsurprisingly, every leica glass has its own unique characteristics… all comes down to the needs and photographic style, im oke with summaron since i mainly use 28 only when travelling and being compact is my priority, but then i always have my 35 lux SR too to combine

sometimes i feel the size of 28 lux a little too big to my 28’s taste, but one to each own

It all depends on what you are used to and comfortable with, for me I find the 28 Summilux quite compact and comfy, in fact I don’t think any Leica M lens is to large or to heavy. I find them quite compact compared to the Nikon’s and Canons AF lenses I used to Lug around.  But then again I have very Large hands and tiny small lenses are more cumbersome.
