Hello,

Last week I became the happy owner of the Super Angulon 21mm F3.4 for Leica M.

The lens is in great condition and I would love to protect it with a filter.

I found the following information about them: Filter type - Series VII, E48 - A52.5

However, I can't find any E48 filter currently in production.

The older "Sky Filter" e48 filters give a yellow/orange tint - which I wouldn't want.

Can you please advise me what filter (clear) I should look for for this lens?

Series 7 filter in the hood worked fine for me. The E48 will be available used but generally it is marked as being for a longer lens (200mm Telyt I think?) and is in a machined brass mount and quite solid and heavy. Series 7 are still made I think (perhaps not by Leica) or recently were. The maginal tint of Skylight filter isn't a significant problem in my experience.
