Rick in CO Posted January 30, 2023 Share #21 Posted January 30, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Are you committed to an M camera? Why not buy a second hand CL and find an appropriate 21mm-equvalent lens? I bought a used CL as a back-up for my digital M to use when I wanted autofocus. My experience with the Sigma 16mm f1.4 lens is that it is usable wide open, but you need to get to f4-5.6 to sharpen up overall. And it's huge. It also wouldn't compare to a 21mm Summicron, if that is what you're looking at on an M camera. Depends on what your budget and photographic needs are. Not necessarily committed, but I am fascinated by the M system and really want to use one, and think the process would be enjoyable. The CL is an interesting idea if I didn’t gel with the M. Though I think I’d enjoy any of them, just maybe not the SL
