Could you please post your experiences with using the Minilux Compact Flash or Leica CF22(designed for D-Lux Digilux 3)   on an M10/M10-R or similar digital M.

https://wiki.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/CF_Flash_Unit

https://wiki.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/CF_22  (which I understand is configured for D-Lux,  Digilux 3(Olympus hot shoe))

I'm a regular Metz 40MZ-3i(SCA3502-M5) user on M240/M10-R , and would like to consider the above for rare(emergency) usage and like their ultra-small light weight,

and use of dual AA or AAA batteries(respectively).

Could the flash on either the CF or CF22 be triggered by an M10-R in any of their preset settings of :

"Auto 1 or Auto 2 of the CF"

"Manual Manual Lo of the CF22"

I've already considered and researched this forum and other sites for SF20/SF24D/SF26/SF40, LightPix M20/Q20ii, Godox Lux Junior.

Thanks

Be aware that the Digilux and D Luc flashes do not use the Leica flash protocol but the Panasonic one.

Oddly the SCA3202 is required for my Digilux 3 but SCA3502 is required for my Digilux 2 : both of these were PanaLeicas.

SCA3502 is also common to digital M’s

so Metz Leica and Panasonic were only partially consistent with their flash protocols.

My research also revealed this photo which triggered the question as to whether the D-Lux designed CF22 could work with an M...

If you look at the complete set of photos in the above link, there are at least 4 photos of a man carrying and seems to attempting to take photos with the CF22 on an M camera at this Leica hosted event.
