india Posted January 16, 2023 Share #1 Posted January 16, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, can any one tell me what the difference is between a Leica SP and S601? My main concern is that the S601 suffers from corrosion of the sensor. So. I was wondering if the P version had fixed this problem. Many thanks for any info in this matter David
Advertisement Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Hi india, Take a look here Leica SP. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Stuart Richardson Posted January 16, 2023 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2023 Are you asking about the S2P? Leica made some confusing naming. The S1 was a digital camera from the 1990s. The S2 came out in 2008, the S2P shortly after. Then the S006 in 2012 I believe. Then the S007 in 2015, and finally the S3. Makes sense right? Lol. In answer to your question, no CCD S is safe from the corrosion unless it had a replaced sensor. The only ones that do not have this problem are the S007 and S3.
