Hello from a veteran Leica user in London. Returning to the fold after a 20  year break.

Used to be active on LUG back in time, but this seems to be where it’s at nowadays for L discussion

Started my Leica journey in mid 80’s with an R4s mod2, R6, 35mm Elmarit-R, 50mm Summicron-R and a 90mm Elmarit-R

Then from about 1990 I ran an M4-2, M4-P and an M6 with a 35mm summicron v4, 50mm summicron and a 90 Elmarit-M (can’t remember exactly which the 50 and 90 were but bought new around ‘91 so whatever was current) also had the first version of the screw mount Voigtlander Heliar 15mm in an adapter.  Shot everyone from Bill Gates to Sheikh Yamani with that kit, sold the lot for not very much after I’d gone digital around 2004. (Lesson learned, never sell anything Leica)

Fast forward to 2023 and I’m involved in both a new community art college designing a program in darkroom work and an exhibition project that I’ve settled on shooting on film and the obvious outcome was I needed a Leica in my life again.

Went for a drink with my dear friend @pippy who pointed me to a rather tasty late chrome M4-P, have added a chrome ZM 50 planar and now started processing film in the utility room at home.

Step daughter just completing her degree in chemistry joining in with some help refining formula for home brew caffenol.

Starting to digress, looking forward to picking brains and contributing where I can.
