Great images. It seems the 50 Lux ASPH is a perfect match to the 246.

Agree, 50mm is classic focal length and Summilux ASPH is among the best, on the other hand any lens, old or new, can give satisfactory image.

of course every lens can get you great images when in good hands... I do however have experience with quite a few different 50-ish mm lenses, on different systems, and do think the 50Lux is certainly competing with the best regarding sharpness, unsharpness but mostly it's unique rendering when shot at 'correct' distance and settings.

Every now and then I get an image out of the M246+50Lux combo that simple blows my mind and I just cannot see reproduced using a different lens/system...

I recently repurchased Emar-M 50mm, regretted selling it and always liked its rendering.  With good ISO capability of M246 fast lens in good light is not essential, for darker scenes Summilux M 50mm ASPH is difficult to beat. Few recent pictures I took I like, will post soon some Elmar M images.

Venice, October 2022. A classic view from Ponte dell'Accademia, 50mm Summicron (allegedly - not coded, so I rely on remembering to set the lens). Got to love those motoscafi!
