M-240 cloud of hot pixels

I finally made the jump and got myself an M-240P a few weeks ago to test the M world. Got the unit from a Leica store to have some kind of guarantee it would hold.
I now have a cloud of hot pixels on it - which C1 can easily get rid of. If it was one or two I wouldn't worry too much but this is a lot of it.
Does anyone know what causes these hot pixels, if there is a way to get rid of them, do they come and go?

Any help would be highly appreciated :)

Normally Leica can map the hot pixels out, but if there are too many they will swap out the sensor. Let te camera store handle this. A sensor swap is very expensive. The cause is cosmic radiation.

@pippyHere you go. I've taken the lower right corner as example.
