carstenw Posted October 16, 2007 Share #3 Posted October 16, 2007 Well, the second guy from the left is Robert Parker! Seriously, left to right, from memory (I really should replace my memory, it is faulty): James Earley, Robert Parker, Stefan Seider, Rona|d Schmidt, Marion Howarth, John Howarth, Neville Porter, Carl Bretteville, Brian in front and me behind, Mrs. Bretteville, Andy Barton in front, nice guy from Dresden behind [Tim Delbeck?], Andreas Weimann, Mrs. Barton, Bill, Iron Flatline, Phillippe Octo lurking in the bushes, Yannik Le Troadec in front, Hsin Chou, Andreas Jürgensen behind, Michael Boylan, Adrian Strooper, and John Driffill [darnit if I didn't forget the name of this very nice man who I even went out for a beer with afterwards]. Can anyone fill some holes? I think I have everyone right - shout if not! AB Someone was Jim, I am pretty sure, but I am getting names mixed up again. Maybe the next time we should put our forum names instead of our real names. It just occurs to me that the guy who took this picture, stunsworth, was the guy walking around with "Steve" on him Shucks, another missed conversation. carstenw Posted October 18, 2007 Share #12 Posted October 18, 2007 So, if I interpreted the name sequence correctly, here is a final version. I tried to respect people's privacy if they have appeared concerned. . Welcome, dear visitor! ejd Posted October 18, 2007 Share #18 Posted October 18, 2007 In the photo, is there something mysterious between Michael Boylan's head and Adrian Strooper's? And between Adrian's and mine? Is it in each case part of someone's head? Have we inadvertently hidden someone from view? Many apologies if I have. I had a great time, btw. All the best, John
andybarton Posted October 19, 2007 Share #19 Posted October 19, 2007 I think you are right John. I think that's Boris and Mario.
stunsworth Posted October 19, 2007 Author Share #20 Posted October 19, 2007 By a cunning technique, known in the trade as taking a second photograph, I've managed to locate at least one of the missing people! This was taken before the runners and riders had settled into their final positions. This reminds me why I admire wedding photographers, but would never want to be one <grin> Welcome, dear visitor!
