My allergenic wife is no fan of cats.

BUT, three months ago during our Minnesota Winter a little, pregnant black feral cat made a nest under our sheltered back porch. She bore six kittens, five of which survived. It broke our hearts. Since then we have fed them all, and I have tamed the kittens by fostering handling. Now they follow us through the yard as we garden.

They are weaned now which means to us that they are to be released to the Humane Society, and I am not confident of what the Society will do with them, regardless of their claim.

I support a no-kill shelter, they look after every single animal that comes their way until a loving home adopts them. If an animal requires veterinary treatment, every effort is made to ensure that happens.
