Collin Posted December 20, 2022 Share #1 Posted December 20, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) So I recently updated my M10-R and now the screen flickers and turns red and green like an old TV antenna problem. I belive it started after the update but not sure. I'm wondering if anyone has the previous firmware by chance??
Advertisement Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Hi Collin, Take a look here Leica M10-R previous firmware versions. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jakontil Posted December 20, 2022 Share #2 Posted December 20, 2022 hi collin, does the screen flicker under any lighting conditions? sometimes indoor with bad led can cause such, and speaking about previous firmware, if you want to reinstall it i dont think it is possible, even reinstalling the current version won't be possible but i might be wrong try to go out and see if it still flickers
Collin Posted December 20, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted December 20, 2022 It was indoors with fluorescent lights. I'll try later today when I can get out of work for a bit. It was more of a glitchy type of flicker if that makes sense. Horizontal lines like a piece of paper that went through a paper shredder. Collin Posted December 20, 2022 Author Share #6 Posted December 20, 2022 Oh and the menu looks great. The black and white photos look fine as well. Super weird.

You can’t go back and install an old firmware. The only way Leica can give you an old firmware after an update is to take the old one and rename it to have a newer version number so the camera thinks is a newer firmware I never update especially now that I have a Leica M (it’s not like they can give me faster auto focus). Last time I ran an update was for a known xpro3 issue I was at risk of developing. But that’s just the way I do it. I don’t think I will ever update this camera. it has no problems. I don’t see the point. yours is going to have to be sent to Leica. The to update or not to update Shakespearian debate has been discussed in this forum ad nauseam. dugby Posted February 5, 2023 Share #8 Posted February 5, 2023 Hope your issue has been resolved ? Thought the following could be informative- M10-R firmware version release dates July 2020 v10.20.27.20 February 2021 v20.20.47.37 May 2022 v30.22.11.52 November 2022 v30.22.23.
dugby Posted February 6, 2023 Share #9 Posted February 6, 2023 I understand you to be correct, that an installed M10-R firmware cannot be downlevelled. The purpose of posting the various M10-R firmware levels in this thread was to allow any further searches on this topic "Leica M10-R previous firmware versions" to at least find out the released firmware versions to November 2022.
