Full aspect of 25mm, the lens is closer to 26 in fact. Coded as 35 Summicron ASPH for the best purple edge elimination.
Zeiss 25 wide open, M10-P Reporter.

Hallo Andreas!

Bist du aus Darmstadt? Ich wohne quasi an der Orangerie. Ich kann dir leider keine Nachricht schreiben.
Vll klappt es ja anders rum?

Viele Grüße

Matthias

Welchen Sucher benutzt ihr denn für das 25er?

Ich habe den alten Voigtländer 25mm. Plastiksucher.

Matthias

ZM Biogom is GREAT. I accidentally traded it against a -as apeared later- malfunctioning Summicron 28; and now I do not have it anymore 🥲

Anyway. [I burnt meself]

Oops mine is 28 shame on me. But that nowadays again is great. I don't want to bother a mod . .

I don’t see a discussion thread for this lens so I’ll ask my questions here. I have a 35mm and want to go wider. 28mm doesn’t seem like much of a change so I’ve been considering 24 or 25. I don’t think this will get a lot of use so spending on a Leica 24 seems wasteful. The few I’ve found approach $2,000. The Zeiss is half that in the US purchased new. It will be on an M11 most of the time. Can I rely on Live View for composition and focus in the RF ?

Wondering if I need the external viewfinder to start out with. I ask because I’ve seen people shooting wide angles without the external VF or Visoflex and have to assume they’re using LV and or range focusing.
