Leica Fanatic Posted September 12, 2014 Share #841 Posted September 12, 2014 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone know how I can get a black Leica Dot? Simples, take one red dot and paint it with black model enamel. I did http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/showpost.php?p=2754908 I know for a fact Leica will not provide a Black Dot unless you can give the serial number of an M that originally came with one AND is registered in your name AND address. Mine didn't come with a black dot but I still received one for free. At the time my TTL went to Solms it wore the red dot which I had painted black. jmr237 Posted October 12, 2014 Share #844 Posted October 12, 2014 My new (to me) M6 classic. Sourced via Japan Camera Hunter. Very happy so far. Filter is a #8 yellow, which I leave on all the time as I only shoot Tri-X or TMAX. Incidentally, the strap is the "f" model from UPstrap, which has worked out very well. Welcome, dear visitor! Guest Benqui Posted October 24, 2014 Share #849 Posted October 24, 2014 Yes Simon, Al is right. It is a M6J with a body which resembles the M3 but a M6 interior. I really like and it works perfect best regards Marc
philipus Posted October 26, 2014 Share #850 Posted October 26, 2014 There was an interesting piece in the LHSA Viewfinder (as I recall it was in the early 90s) about the M6J. Nice camera. And points for using it as a shooter.

designed Posted November 14, 2014 Share #857 Posted November 14, 2014 Five months without a Leica was too long, and now I found myself as the new owner of an -87 Wetzlar M6. Previously I had an M5 and an M8, so the M6 feels like 'best of both'. Looking forward to seeing the photos from the first roll of Tri-X. FrozenInTime Posted November 16, 2014 Share #859 Posted November 16, 2014 Here is my girl and my camera bag. Thanks for showing the bag - Filson had not appeared on my radar before. It looks well made, without the boxy bulk of the ONA bags - I ordered one.
