This photo was taken with a M11 and Summilux M28mm at f1.4. I have had this combination for a while and have never seen this purple/blue situation. Is it CA? Any ideas what it is? Thanks

what is the effective color temperature? I have seen strange color artifacts at the boundaries (typically low Kelvin) of the scale ... also depends on raw converter / profile used. I would try the new DXO Photolab 6 which comes with an extended gamut profile by default. HTH.

Looks like the shadow clipping histogram warning in the develop module of LR.

It does look like shadow clipping. It's the same color. The shadow clipping icon does show the location of shadow clipping, however, it the deep blue show does not turn on/off. Thank for the hint.

If I understand, Lightroom indicates 2700. That is low on the Kelvin. If that is the case, why does that occur? Thanks for the feedback.

Don't have a solid theory, but familiar with the pattern - low color temperature, which often coincides with high ISO, which reduces dynamic range - leading to areas of exposure problems that also have color anomalies; I have reasons to believe this relates to color gamut as sometimes switching to a. different profile (e.g. 3rd party camera profiles) will increase or reduce the issue.
