Prepping Images to Upload and Upload Woes

Thanks for your reply. In the meantime, I noticed the problem only occurs with color photo's containing a lot of details. Although the forum dimensions/size are respected, the upload is failing. I then reduce the longest dimension down to 2,000 pixels, and it works.

But that 5MB is is still reduced to the 'normal' stored sizes, so to me it just in convenience, now I can use C1 easily - while in LR exporting can be done with a max file size. So there is still a lot of compression going on when storing the posts.

But are you happy with what you can see in your post (after clicking on the image)? For that kind of image, the subject matter and composition matter more than technical quality IMO.

Yes, I'm happy. I think my image quality after selecting (clicking the preview) is most often great.

  • Interestingly, sometimes my preview is sharp, sometimes fuzzy. I have not found out why. I use either LR or C1.

The posts above had Red Bull inside. Probably that helps ☺️.
