I have a setup that I believe is aligned correctly.

SL + Elmarit-Macro-R with Macro adapter.

I used a Nikon LS1000 20 years ago, and here is a comparison of results.

The setup:

so despite the tech difference, and at least 20 years of development, 10.1 Mpix vs 24 Mpix etc.

the LS1000 give better edge definition.

the SL capture have more abberation, zoom in on the Wurth decals.

look like CA but is not italian flag, same brownish color on both sides.

How can I improve?

correct, but with more abberation, is it the Macro-Elmar ?

(disregard colors, I have no good reference to calibrate to)

I did my homework on chromatic aberration correction. And lens support.

I prefer Capture 1 for ipad because i like using my ipad pro than the PC for photos. Anyway, I opened the dng in desktop C1 (on the PC) and found that the used R lens is not supported in C1 so it was not corrected in above examples.

On the ipad C1 there is no way to change lens correction, or get info if it is used. So I did a generic CA correction in the desktop application and saved that as a custom style. Moved the .costyle file to my ipad (to Styles dir).

And, voila! Now i can correct my Macro-Elmarit for CA in Capture 1 for ipad. After / before crops:
