Repair/Refurbishment recommendations

Hello, again. My Leica IIIf is in great shape overall but its shutter curtain shows distinct wear and needs attention. I haven't run film though the camera yet but when I fire the shutter at 1 second, the second curtain's rubberizing has started to flake off. The camera itself could benefit from tuning, as well, so I'd like some recommendations on where members have had success at such things here in the States. Googling brings up plenty of options, of course, but I'd feel more confident going with a recommended firm. Many thanks.

BTW, being new to the forum, please excuse me if this topic has already been covered elsewhere.

I’ve had IIIf cameras serviced by both DAG (Don Goldberg) and Youxin Ye, including curtain replacements. DAG had worked at Leica in Wetzlar before setting up his own business, so has very long experience. Youxin is more self-taught, but has also done nice work for me. I believe both have long backlogs now, as do most camera techs. Before sending work to any tech, contact and discuss expected lead-time, etc.

This should be the right thread, but it is not anymore. The thread contains too many personal comments.

@LUF Admin any chance of doing a similar post(?) as you’ve done for SD cards, except recommended repair specialists? By country preferably.
