Can somebody confirm please that this lens is definitely finished in silver chrome (same as, for example, the 28mm Summaron re-issue), and not silver anodised (i.e. the same as most other modern Leica silver lenses)? The specs do say "silver chrome", yet in pictures it looks more like silver anodised?

It is brass lens. Anodised finish usually on aluminium lenses. The 'chrome'  is a satin finish that matches the anodised.

Is anyone using the Steel Rim reissue on the SL2 or SL2-S? Even with the current 5.1 firmware, it doesn't have a Steel Rim specific lens profile, so the 6-bit code read by the M-Adapter-L is defaulting to the Thambar profile. I have to manually choose the pre-ASPH 35 1.4 profile.
