Jack_Flesher Posted September 20, 2007 Share #41 Posted September 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Maybe I have fat eyes. <G> I was going to suggest that, ubt didn't want to get too personal All jesting aside, I agree that while it works for me, it may not for somebody interested in the best possible framing accuracy. And that's why I do carry the CV 28 finder. (BTW I have the metal one, and it is *really* nice for the money.)
Advertisement Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Hi Jack_Flesher, Take a look here Lens advice/ i want something fast in wide. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
semrich Posted September 20, 2007 Share #42 Posted September 20, 2007 Unless I missed someone else mentioning it, nothing has been mentioned about the Zeiss 15/2.8, it is fast, wide, sharp, and expensive!
Guest guy_mancuso Posted September 20, 2007 Share #43 Posted September 20, 2007 I do have a WATE and a 12mm so the very very wide is covered good it is the fast 21 and 24 which could be helpful.
dseelig Posted September 20, 2007 Share #44 Posted September 20, 2007 If one buiys the zeiss 21 and 25 you would have one of the nmounts needed the 25 comes with the 28 mm lens mount so you would only need to order the 35 lens mount from ziess. Get Don Goldberg to take off the 25 mount or another good repair pro sned off the 28 and 25 mount to milch, get them back from milch send the mounts and lenses to goldberg to put back on and check focus and you are done. Or someone email me and buy my 21 zeiss already 6 bit coded. and then you only have one lens to worry about. The zeiss lenses are great, but I bought a wate and my pocketbook can't wait. teehas53 Posted September 20, 2007 Share #46 Posted September 20, 2007 What it translates to is -- if you take the letters in the name Leica, and you shake them up and move them around and make new words, you always get the word Magic. Funny, Bill, I always get "spendy... " It called (with a nod to Sean) "drawing" on the bank account. NOW I get it! I'm very impressed with all of my Leica glass (including the 24,) but you definitely pay a substantial premium for the "little red dot." I also routinely use lenses by the "other guys," and they do not disappoint either. One has to choose carefully (unless you have very deep pockets!) Yup, faster than f4.0 or f5.6, but not as fast as f1.4.

wparsonsgisnet Posted September 20, 2007 Share #55 Posted September 20, 2007 At least you can't whine anymore about not having the right lens. Is there any length you don't have? We need to know where to kick you next. Congratulations. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

wparsonsgisnet Posted September 21, 2007 Share #58 Posted September 21, 2007 Guy, if you post a list of lenses that you either never had or on a bad-hair day got rid of, we'll all write to your estimed spouse and explain how critical they are to a photographer's business and well-being. mustafasoleiman Posted September 21, 2007 Share #59 Posted September 21, 2007 You could always hire me as a lens caddie boy... I am fast and a bit chobby (wide) to boot. The only thing is that after a few outings, considering the amount of lenses you have, I may become a bit less wide. Still... nothing that a good bowl of pasta would not sort it thou:D
MP3 Posted September 21, 2007 Share #60 Posted September 21, 2007 Guy, I read this thread just today. The 24 is really gorgeous and don't sell it again..
