tommonego@gmail.com Posted August 13, 2022 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) ACR since the last couple of updates seems to insist on opening on my primary screen, not on my second screen with Photoshop which is color corrected. I keep sliding ACR over to that screen but it doesn't get the hint. In the past once you moved ACR it would stay on that screen. Adobe user group says just to move it each time. Any other ideas? riepibcx Posted August 14, 2022 Share #6 Posted August 14, 2022 When PS looses track of window positions on my Mac with multiple monitors, in PS I have to go into "Window -> Workspace" and reset the workspace I'm using to correct the problem. I don't know if you can try that in Windows, though.
riepibcx Posted August 14, 2022 Share #7 Posted August 14, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm also using a workspace I've created, in case that's necessary.
tommonego@gmail.com Posted August 16, 2022 Author Share #8 Posted August 16, 2022 I looked at Windows-Workspace but not seeing in the menus where to change screens for ACR? Sent a note to Adobe.
riepibcx Posted August 17, 2022 Share #9 Posted August 17, 2022 Somehow my reply earlier reply seems to have been lost... The options to reset your current workspace or create a new workspace should appear in Photoshop's "Window -> Workspace" menu after you close ACR. Hopefully, resetting your current workspace or creating a new workspace after correctly positioning and closing ACR might fix your problem. I move a lot of Photoshop palettes to my uncalibrated monitor and reposition and resize them and when Photoshop periodically forgets when I put them, this fix has been working for me. It seems to work for the ACR window, too.
tommonego@gmail.com Posted August 18, 2022 Author Share #10 Posted August 18, 2022 Thanks for the suggestion. I had just opened a DNG, started a new worlspace, checked the three boxes. Started another DNG, it still went on the primary monitor. Oh well getting used to this but it is a pain. Too bad there is no way to do this when ACR is opened.
