Thank you David, and you are correct I have taken 1,000's of images in that location, it's a beautiful spot, at all times of the year.  My little CL has had a lot of use, but has suffered no knocks or drops, I think it was just unfortunate, maybe I caught it getting it in and out of my bag, that day I was using two camera's and swapping them over,  hopefully it will soon be fixed.  I do have other cameras to use, dog walking each day is always photography time☺️ it's how I relax and clear my head, my me time.   The question will be how long will I last without a CL in my hand, not just a camera😃.

One more from Wales at the weekend.. to keep the image thread going CL 60 TL

Jayne, a little late to ask, but did customer csre Leica UK arrange for you to send your CL direct to Wetzlar? I ask, because there is an excellent new head of support who impressed a visiting party of Leica Fellowship members with his diagnostic skills, while demonstrating the disassembly of a current Leica. However, I know there are certain models that have to be returned to their 'mother ship'

I reported the problem to customer care UK David, and they contacted Wetzler to find out if it could be done here but apparently not.   I sent the body to Mayfair and they are kindly dealing with the shipping to Wetzler and the additional necessary paperwork these days.  They were as usual very prompt and helpful in their responses.   I was hopeful it could be done here because I recently had an issue with my SL2 (cover) which they did the repair on in house without the trip to Wetzler.

I also put in a letter to Leica AG expressing my feelings about the CL and it's positioning in the Leica family.   Asking them to clarify their position with regard to APS-c and in particular the CL and my wish and hope for it to be supported and possibly updated.   It's accompanying my CL with the request that it end up on the correct desk😊 worth a try.

A beautiful composition Jayne and a great advertisement for the TL60 too.  This one should be featured in the Forum's best-of section.

Thanks Rob, I have only recently acquired the 60 TL and it's a stunning lens for sure, can't believe I have not tried one before now.  I'm an avid follower of Rob's (@tritentrue) blog, he had been posting some fabulous images with it so I searched out a used copy, and I'm very happy I did.

Lost my wheel/button somewhere there.

Worthy sacrifice, Jayne, for a shot like this!  Your pastoral scenes are just breathtakingly serene and beautiful!

Jayne, I wish you would also post these breathtaking landscapes in the landscape gallery so more people could enjoy them and be inspired.

BTW, I tested 60tL a while ago and was surprised how sharp it was; but I found it too slow for me, without much control of the background; for closeups, it was truly excellent. But it is really shining in your hands.

Probably an image overload but tomorrow my little CL will be on the way to Wetzler, was happy to have some sunshine today to use it, even though it was a bit taped together.  It showed its first signs of old age over the weekend when I suddenly realised I had lost the right wheel cover and button.  I then spent an hour or so searching the riverbank, picked up too many squished rabbit poos (yuck), thinking they looked like a round black thing,  but there was no finding it, and apparently it's impossible to put one back on without the camera being opened up anyway.   So, maybe the last ones from me here for a while, I'm already having separation anxiety🙃.   CL and 60 TL on my dog walk today.

On the TL 60 you have an option in the camera setting to adjust the focus range from “full” to just “distant” or just “close”. That helps make the focusing faster.

Here in Mid-Coast Maine the temperature is 11 degrees F. ..  I managed a few shots today with a  25mm Zeiss f 2.8 ZM mounted on my CL.  My hands were so cold I only lasted for about 15 minutes.
