The landscape in particular is just beautiful Jayne. The balance and arrangement of shapes, the different textures, the drama — the way the clouds look like giant trees on the horizon. I would totally agree, but the more I looked and thought about the way the tyres were caught through and around the felled tree limbs going across the water, I got the idea that they may have been placed there to serve a purpose. These woods in Nant Gwernol are actually the end of the line for a small steam railway, Tallylyn. They have recently been cutting back trees that border the line, the banks are very steep and drop down to the water, this may have been to catch and collect the felled timber and stop any damage further down stream.
