That’s right David and I would speculate that the spread of the virus overseas may be in part due to illegal trafficking in our protected wildlife. We have a wild population near our home but this was very sad to witness up very close. Camera distance less than 2 metres. It was a pretty amazing scene, this massive beach all but empty apart from a group of very hardy kite surfers in full wetsuits and balaclavas tearing it up on the pretty lively waves a few days before Christmas.
