This temple has been completely rebuilt within the last ten years. Interesting areas of shade contrasting with the open space in front of the temple itself. A beautiful space, particularly when illuminated at night, which I should take take pictures of at some point.

No, it isn't. This is Akagi Shrine in Kagurazaka.

Yasukuni-Jinja may be one of the largest in Tokyo, but there are literally thousands of shrines in and around the city (a quick google tells me 1,450)
