Beautiful series of images. The slightly bright rendering of the images do give a feeling of heat. For me, this is a famous beach. A bit like Coney Island, New York. Nice work. Regards. Carl.

Really nice set from a special day, Graham! I wish I could say unique day, but that would be way too optimistic. Is there some post-processing involved or are these the colours you get from your developer?

Thanks Carl. I agree Brighton is an icon - I travelled for the day to shoot the “hottest day” and was glad I chose Brighton. Thanks again :)

This was from a lab in London that I’ve never used before but look the same as the lab at home.  I find Portra 400 consistently gives these colours in bright weather when over-exposed (I rate 250 in camera). Portra 800 I rate at 800  

In post the only change I make is I always make the blues slightly greener (just -10 in Lightroom blue slider) as the only edit .
