Does anyone have the Paul Smith Edition ....is it worth it? It doesn't seem very stealthy, if that is what you want it for, but the colors are cool.... and, more $$$$$$ .....

I have the CL in the Paul Smith edition. It's so garish and happy "by design", nobody takes it seriously, which is just fine with me. Great conversation starter, though, and you always find it quickly amongst all the other drab black paint gear. Just be careful with the file processing or you may end up with Paul Smith photographs like the one below 🙂

I don't shoot color....but I like the 'blue's captured and dispersed throughout. Yes, I can see in some environments where having the 'colored' camera adds to the appeal and actually attracts people who might want their photo taken. I realize that many photographers enjoy some sort of posed photography, whether it is street posed or whatever, so in that sense, yes..... people might more easily allow themselves to pose in front of the Paul Smith edition. In my case, since I use my cameras for 'candid street photography ' with no 'posed element', well....then the Paul Smith is a detriment. So I suppose it just depends .....

I have the X2 version and it is a great conversation starter and ideal for street photography - looking down at the orange top plate makes me smile too - strangely it isn't that indiscrete either - perhaps people just don't register it or find it intimidating - they just carry on...
