Alberti Posted July 20, 2022 Share #21 Â Posted July 20, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I hate cyan or other artifacts, in trees, in pepples and the like. LOL. Like Vinncent showed off with a big laugh I handed back a VC 75mm (sharp, yes, but with severe fringing) and a Zeiss 35mm 2.8 (less as I saw it but still) but the older ones I have (Biogon 28, Minolta 28, Orion 28) Â do not exhibit such bad characteristics. Yes, 28 @ F2, F1.4: nice, but the have to fit my style. And need to be smalish.
Advertisement Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 Hi Alberti, Take a look here Who else would love to see a Voigtlander 28mm f1.4 Nokton?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Marckyokay Posted February 24, 2023 Share #22  Posted February 24, 2023 Replying to an old dead thread, sorry. Just my 2 cents: I would love a Nokton 28! If it were smaller than the Summilux... Would love to pair it with an Elmarit, sometimes perfection, sometimes night-photography on film with a 1.4 or 1.5 ... Please Voigtlander read this and make it so.
hdmesa Posted February 25, 2023 Share #23 Â Posted February 25, 2023 A CV 28 1.4 doesn't need to be smaller than the 28 Lux, it just needs to be smaller than the 28 Lux with its hood attached. All the long rectangular Leica hoods are ridiculous IMO.
Becf Posted December 15, 2023 Share #24  Posted December 15, 2023 It's not a 1.4, but it's close. 28mm Nokton. 2

costa43 Posted December 16, 2023 Share #28 Â Posted December 16, 2023 This is great news, a 250g 28mm f1.5 is exciting indeed. Design wise, why Voigtlander insist on have the chrome rim on most of their recent lenses is beyond me. At the very least, an option of a finishing ring would be greatly appreciated. Robert Blanko Posted December 16, 2023 Share #29 Â Posted December 16, 2023 Interesting specs! I'm curious about the optical performance. And the chrome ring would match well with a BP Leica. Unfortunately, the BP version of the 28/1.5 comes with a surcharge in terms of weight though.

The Skopar 90/2.8 apo does it already. Now Cosina knows well the Real Leica Man and his fascination for "steel rims" i guess 😄

The Zeiss type lens hood bayonet has been very successful for 70 or so years, whilst Leica produced a multitude of hood designs that don't work with filters or are prone to fall off.... At least with black Hasselblad lenses the bayonet ring was black, so yes Voigtlander could also do better.

I’m not the biggest fan on wide lenses as it eats into my view unnecessarily. Modern coatings tend to do well with flare and I use a simple uv filter to protect the front element.
Robert Blanko Posted December 17, 2023 Share #34  Posted December 17, 2023 The coma seems to be rather "special" (cf. https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1836747/1 , the small lights on the upper part of the photo with the reflections on the water).
