humerc Posted July 9, 2022 Share #1 Posted July 9, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, on my Q2M Reporter it seems that the aperture blades are stuck (I think at f14 or f16). Has anybody had this problem and maybe a solution without sending it to Leica?
Advertisement Posted July 9, 2022 Posted July 9, 2022 Hi humerc, Take a look here Leica Q2M aperture blades stuck. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
humerc Posted July 10, 2022 Author Share #2 Posted July 10, 2022 (edited) The Aperture blades don't move anymore, they seem stuck in a fixed position, regardless if I choose them manual or not (the display shows the normally correct Aperture Value...). Even if I set the shutter time to 1 second I cant see any movement of the blades. Resetting the camera and removing the battery for a few hours doesn't help either. I was just taking a few photos at a family event, so not really harsh conditions, as it suddenly happened. Seems like I have to send it back to Leica (together with my 28 Summilux-M), never had problems before, so I am a little bit upset right now Edited July 10, 2022 by humerc

humerc Posted August 8, 2022 Author Share #8 Posted August 8, 2022 (edited) I am happy that the turnaround time was faster than expected. Unfortunately my Summilux-M came back without repair, Leica thinks it is normal for a 6.8k€ lens that the aperture ring suddenly makes some noise and is wiggling… But at least the Q2 works again😃 Edited August 8, 2022 by humerc
